Hiking

There are lots of hikes in the area, from a short stroll to view the lake from the house, to day walks up the nearby peaks, there is something for every level and in every direction!

Watersports

From Savines le lac or Embrun you will find many companies who offer lessons or equipment hire, for kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting.

Climbing

There is an abundance of climbing in the area including an indoor wall in Gap (Duo de cimes) but the closest crag is La Rochette by the bridge at Savines le lac, with routes for beginner – intermediate sports climbing, just a short walk from the road.

Mountain biking

Les Orres is the biggest area for downhill/ enduro mountain biking nearby, with lots of routes in Reallon as well.

Embrun Plan d’eau

The Plan d’eau at Embrun offers a lovely place to relax and have a swim. Cafes and restaurants, indoor swimming pool and childrens’ play area nearby.

Baie de St. Michel

Our closest ‘beach’, with childrens activities , boat hire and swimming area in July and August. From here you can see the chappelle de St Michel on a small island in the bay.

Paddle boarding

Gliss’cool is a paddle board hire/ school a short drive away, if you take the main road towards Savines le lac you will see a parking bay on the right which has a selection of signs up for paddle boarding school. Great view of the Pic de Morgon when paddling around here. They can also organise kitesurfing lessons.
